Regional dance honors
Regional dance honors told Ashton QUICK, an eighth grade student at Mount Ayr Community middle school, and
Desirae TRAMMEL, a senior at Mount Ayr Community high school, were each selected as "Standout Dancers" at the
regional Midwest Starz Dance competition on March 2-4 in Des Moines. The top outstanding dancers were selected out
of over 500 routines and thousands of dancers at the Des Moines competition. Both QUICK and TRAMMELL will advance to
the national competition in June at Wisconsin Dells, WI. QUICK and TRAMMELL both have Sarah PUGH as their competition
dance coach and compete with Leslie's Dance Emporium competition team in Creston. QUICK is the daughter of Bruce and
Kris QUICK of Mount Ayr and TRAMMELL is the niece of Patty and Jon PARRISH of Clearfield.
