Third annual gala concert coming to Princess Theater
The third annual anniversary gala for the Princess Theater is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27-28. The
program will be offered at 7 p.m. on Saturday night and again at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The program this year will
feature Nashville's Korbie Rae -- Mount Ayr's own Korbie RINEHART. Others on the program include John ALLEN and family,
Frank HUDSON and grandsons Caden and Rylan DORR, Leah KLEJCH and Kristy GILLILAND. Korbie Rae is a Nashville-based
singer-songwriter working on her first original album with her band. Originally from Mount Ayr, RINEHART bases her songs
on simple pleasures of live, love and fun. She veers off the beaten path adding a mix of blues and soul to her
piano-laden pop sound. Her album entitled "The Waiting Game" is due for release late this summer. RINEHART is a 2000
graduate of Mount Ayr Community high school who moved to Nashville in 2003 to pursue a music career. Over the years she
made many valuable connections that have eventually allowed her to pursue her dream whole-heartedly. "I'm still an
unsigned artist operating on an indie record label, so this debut album will be a huge step for me in promoting my work
and sharing my music through iTunes and my website," she commented. Her parents are Lynn and Kathy RINEHART of Mount
Ayr and her grandparents are Edna JONES and Park and Joan RINEHART of MountAyr. John ALLEN and family and Frank HUDSON
and grandsons will be singing songs as part of the program and Leah KLEJCH and Kristy GILLILAND will be playing the violin
for their portion of the concert. More details on the participants will be included in next week's Mount Ayr
Record-News. Proceeds from the ticket sale go to the Princess Theater operations. Advance tickets will be on sale
at the Mount Ayr Record-News and the Princess Theater.
