NOTICES
A letter received in this city [Des Moines] from County Chairman CURRIE of Ringgold county denounces what are termed
garbled reports of the address of Mr. PHILLIPS, given at Mt. Ayr recently. Mr. CURRIE, who as the
democratic county chairman, arranged for the meeting lays the blame on republican correspondents. He says a gross
injustice was done to Mr. PHILLIPS. NOTE: T. J. PHIILIPS was the Democratic candidate for Iowa
State Governor.
