Corwin and Shirley KARR of Mount Ayr announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their son, Gene, to Phyllis
NEFF of Allendale, Missouri. Janice is a 1983 graduate of Worth County RIII high school and a 1987 graduate of
Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing in St. Joseph, Mo. She is employed at Heartland East Hospital in St.
Joseph. Gene is an 1983 graduate of Mount Ayr Community high school. He is in the U.S. Marine Corps and stationed in
