Union Tonwship, Mount Ayr, Tingley and Kellerton fire departments and the Ringgold County Sheriff's Office
responded to a fire at the Sun Valley Lake home of Joy MITCHELL of Mount Ayr at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday, June 6.
The house was completely gutted and determined to be a total loss. The fire was contained to the inside of the home.
A cause of the blaze has not been determined, but the state fire marshal's office has been notified.
