The coaches and parents of Omaha Elite Force basketball team put on a "Nothin' but Net" basketball tournament in February. They collected donations at the weekend tourney in Olivia McGinnis-Taylor's memory and made a $1,000 donation to the Nebraska Humane Society in her name. Omaha Elite Force have two players who had played on an All-Star team with Olivia but they were an opposing team during the normal seasons. Olivia loved to visit the Humane Society and desired to volunteer but wasn't able to because of her age. Due to the kindness and generosity of others, Olivia's legacy and love of animals continues to live on. A true testament of great sportmanship and life being about more than winning.

Olivia McGinnis-Taylor is the late daughter of Karla (McGinnis) and Carl Taylor of Omaha and the granddaughter of Walt and Beverly McGinnis of Mount Ayr.
