Mr. and Mrs. Ralph MAIN of Redding, Ia., will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, January 13, 1961. Ralph John MAIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. MAIN, and Miss Ella CROUCH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas CROUCH, were married on January 13, 1901, at the home of Floyd MAIN 4 miles east of Redding. No open house is planned.

Mr. and Mrs. MAIN are Redding reporters for The Times-Tribune. For over 42 years Mr. MAIN was editor and publisher of the Redding Herald. He ceased publication of the paper in May of 1957 when The Times-Tribune acquired the subscription list.

The MAINS have two sons, Raymond MAIN of Grand River, Ia., and Clifford MAIN of Myssa, Oregon, and two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd REYNOLDS of Tingley, Ia., Mr. Thelma NAVRATIL of Plymouth, Ia. There are 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Three daughters, Hazel, Evelyn, and Ethelyn are deceased.

Mr. MAIN was born in Ringgold County, Ia., near Watterson. Mrs. MAIN was born at Cambridge, Ill.

For many years Mr. MAIN was secretary and phone repair man of the Farmers and Merchants Mutual Telphone Co. A few months ago he sold his insurance business. Mr. MAIN attended the Palestina rural school.

Mr. MAIN farmed for 7 years after his marriage, then suffered an illness that made him bedfast for four years. He bought the Redding Herald from G. A. CRAIG, who had operated it only a year. Mr. MAIN kept his shop open until a few months ago when he was forced to close it due to illness.
