Husband and wife dead in Benton house fire

BENTON, Iowa (KCRG) - A husband and wife are dead after their Benton home burned to the ground early Friday morning.
Around 3 am, firefighters arrived at 205 Main in Benton to find a home a blaze with Linda Gale Haley, 68, and her husband Robert Fey Haley, 71, inside. Officials say fire crews entered the building and recovered the husband and wife and attempted to revive the couple with CPR. Both victims died at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
