Groves celebrated 98th birthday
Iona Groves of Clearview Home celebrated her 98th birthday this past week. On December 28 (her actual birthday) Clearview Home held their
monthly birthday party for the residents with music by The Mighty Echoes. Grandson Jerry Groves of Kentucky and Louise Frost joined her for this.On December 29
family members planned a party at Clearview which was well attended by the residents and the following family and friends: Sandy Breckenridge and
Tracey, Jacob and Katie Fees of Des Moines; Dee Dee, Kenny, Jennifer and Amber Sobotka of Diagonal; Bob Andrews, Bill Andrews and Soccora Waugh of Benton;
Karen Roub and Courtney Murray of Alpharetta, GA; Teresa Ann Jackson, Fay Howie, Dean and Louise Frost of Mount Ayr; and Jerry Groves of Louisville, KY. Jello
cake, punch and coffee were served. On December 30 family members who were unable to make it on Saturday joined their grandmother for another celebraiton.
They were Jean Barnes, Chuck and Jamie Parks and Mike, Michelle, Drew, Maddy and Hannah Barnes of Atlantic. Dean and Louise Frost also joined them. She
received phone calls from Tara Murphy of Fayetteville, NY, David Groves who was visiting there, Maxine Bucy of Creston, who had just gotten out of the
hospital, Walter and Phyllis Lisle of Florida, Ron and Jan Stacy of Florissant, MO, and Lucille Wilson of Yorba Linda, CA.
