Duckworth set to retire
Mike Duckworth of Creston will be celebrating his 60th birthday, 28th wedding anniversary and his retirement from the Fifth Judicial
District Department of Corrections on Tuesday, January 10. 2008.Duckworth, who graduated from Mount Ayr Community in 1966, has served three and one-half
years with the Creston Police Department, seven and one-half years with the Union County Sheriff's Department and 23 1/2 years with the Department of
Corrections. An open house has been planned for Duckworth at the Three Mile Lake Lodge on Friday, January 11 at 6 p.m. Cards and correspondence may also
