"Kate's Funds' leaves legacy promoting aging at home
The former Kate Crawford of Tingley believed in the value of aging at home. She left her estate to Ringgold County PUblic Health with
specific instructions to "help people remain in their homes."Becky Fletchall, Nurse Administrator, shares "This generous contribution has allowed us to
help 23 individuals with the cost of privately paid home health aide, and/or homemaker services for those who do not have coverage through insurance plans
or Veteran's Administration." Since Deceber 2013, a total of $23,164.54 has been utilized of the $36762.34 left to the agency. Ringgold County Public
Health hopes to continue Kate's legacy. An endowment fund through South Central Iowa Community Foundation was established in 2007. It has grown to
the current balance of $155,455. Additional funds continue to be sought to reach their goal of $300,000.
