A Mount Ayr Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was held Thursday, oct. 4, at the new office of Dr. Sudarsan CHAVALA at
102 E. Adams Street in Mount Ayr. Dr. CHAVALA, who lives in Maryville, MO, has been certified by the American Board
of opthalmology for 15 years and certified by the India board for 24 years. He is a specialist in surgery and diseases
of the eye and also does routine eye exams for glasses and contact lenses. Dr. CHAVALA'S wife Girija is a computer
programmer at Northwest Missouri State University. Their son Sai is doing a fellowship in retina surgery at Duke University
at Durham, N.C., and plans to join the practice next year. Their son, Bobby, is a business graduate from Northwest
Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, and is working in Los Angeles, CA.
