GOLDEN WEDDING
Jacob and Mary CASE celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage Sabbath July 24th. They were married in Jackson
county, Indiana, in 1842. After seven or eight years they moved to Arkansas, where they lived four years. They then moved
to Decatur county, Iowa, and in the year 1850 moved to Ringgold county where they have lived ever since.
To them twelve children have been born; eight are still living. They have thirty-two grandchildren. Most of whom were
present to join in this very pleasant celebration. There were about seventy-five persons present to partake of the
sumptuous dinner given by their children.
They were also remembered by the children and friends by a number of presents given as tokens of esteem and love. At 4
p.m., a short sermon was delivered by S. L. CULMER, after which the children and friends dispersed, wishing Mr. and Mrs.
CASE many more happy years as they yet linger in the sun set of life.
