Allen inducted into NWMSU hall of fame
Cindy WILLIAM ALLEN of Tingley, first grade teacher at Mount Ayr Community elementary school, was inducted into the
Northwest Missouri State University M Club hall of fame along with the other members of the 1975 softball team in a
recent celebration. ALLEN was a backup sophomore pitcher for the team that made the only appearance in the women's
college world series of any NWM-SU softball in history. The team had an impressive seven shutouts in the season, using
strong defense and pitching to rollup victories that qualified them for the national world series. The team was
introduced during the pre-game ceremony and at half-time of the NWMSU football game with Washburn recently.
