Couple To Celebrate 60th Anniversary
On June 11, 1950, Robert "Hap" RICHARDS married Marilyn Rose DENHART at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. During
this long and happy marriage, Hap worked 40 years as a lineman for REC (Southwest Iowa Rural Electric) and Marilyn began
her family as a homemaker. As her children got older, she was one of the first faces you saw at Dr. FELL'S office as a
receptionist. She finished her working life at Southwest Builder Supply where she was a bookkeeper for 17 years. Hap and
Marilyn were blessed with two children, Debbie MURPHY (husband Joe) and David RICHARDS (wife Lisa), both of Mount Ayr.
Hap and Marilyn's two children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren wish them a happy 60th anniversary. The
RICHARDS are grateful they have lived their lives and raised their family in such a sonderful supportive community of
Mount Ayr.
