Great Western Bank in Mount Ayr donated 200 shirts to county 4-H exhibitors to wear during the fair that begins Friday, July 14. Great Western personnel shown with several 4-Hers are Lucas Smith, Sandy Pierschbacher and Daniel Showalter.

  The queen and princess of the 2017 Ringgold County Fair will be crowned in ceremonies beginning at 6:20 p.m. on Friday, July 14. This year eight young women from Ringgold County will be running for the title of 2017 Fair Queen while 14 are seeking the Fair Princess title.

The queen and princess coronation will be held along with a Bill Riley Talent Search show that night.

Last year's queen, Megan Warin, will be at the event to crown the new queen.

Duties of the fair queen and princess include appearing at awards presentations and assisting with a number of county fair events.

The queen will represent Ringgold County in the Iowa State Fair queen contest in August as well as assist with organizing the queen and princess contests for the year following her reign.

Justin NovakJustin Novak, son of Jeremy and Amy Novak, is a Clover Kid member of the Crooked Creek 4-H Club. He will be showing a calf in the pee wee wrangler show at the Ringgold County Fair.
