Swan released here found in Minnesota
Ringgold County Conservation director Kate Zimmerman has been notified that on March 17 one of the trumpeter swans released in 2013 in the county has been located in Minnesota.
The swan was observed in a crop field with one other swan 1.5 miles northwest of Courtland MN. It carried a red neck band #9MO and a red band on the left foot. The #9MO is a 2012 hatch year made from the NEW
Zoo, Green Bay, WI and was released May 8, 2013 at the Mount Ayr Wildlife Area.
