Tull wins second hobby stock race at Corning track

Jim TULL of Redding won his second hobby stock feature of the year to lead the Ringgold county area drivers who raced at Adams County Speedway in Corning.

In the hobby stock class TULL led the way to the title, beating out Jason PARKER of Clearfield, who placed second.

Jerry PARK of Clearfield was fifth, Clint DREDGE of Mount Ayr was sixth, Cody WERNER of Clearfield was seventh and David WEEDA of Mount Ayr was ninth. Les ELLIOTT of Diagonal finished 10th for the night.

In the hobby stock preliminaries, Jerry PARKER won heat one, Cody WERNER won heat two. Jim TULL was third in heat three and Jason PARKER won heat four.

David WEEDA took the first B feature and Les ELLIOTT was first and Clint DREDGE second in the second B feature in the hobby stock racing.

In the modified raced, Russell STEWART of Mount Ayr placed sixth, David CARLISLE of Shannon City placed 17th and Alison QUICK of Redding placed 20th.

In the late model racing, Paul GLENDENNING of Mount Ayr placed fifth in the feature race after taking third in the second heat.

West wins Figure 8 race

 

 Matthew WEST of Kellerton won the open class main event at the Dallas County Fair Figure 8 races Saturday night. Brett SHIELDS of Mount Ayr finished second in the stock class and Justin FROST of Mount Ayr finished fifth in the open class.

The next race will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at Adel.
