Maurice TENNANT has resigned his position with Price & Agree to accept a position with Al LESAN, proprietor of the "Palace of Sweets," and
began work this morning. Maurice is a member of the graduating class of the local high school and has been employed with the Messrs. PRICE
and AGEE for the past two years, working outside of school hours.
Elva HOOVER went to Kellerton Friday evening, where she played the piano between acts of the play, which was given under the management
of a few of the young people of Delphos and vicinity.
Frank WILSON came Saturday morning from Iowa City, where he has been taking the liberal arts course preparatory to entering the
School of Law. He will help his father in the store until fall, when he expects to return to Iowa City. Frank became a member of the band and
now the instrumentation is complete, as the only instrument lacking was the one which he plays, baritone.
The contract for their new church was let by the Baptist Church people last week to Young & Woodward, of Creston, for the sum of $14,780, which
does not include heating, electrical fixtures, seating, decorating, art glass, furnishings, etc.
Esther LUCE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. LUCE, won first place in the state violin contest held Wednesday evening in Rock Island, Ill.
The winners will complete in Chicago on April 14, and those who win in that city, will take part in an international contest to be held in
Los Angeles, CA. Miss LUCE began playing the violin when she was four years of age and has had the best of training.
KELLERTON - Mrs. Jack SCOTT, Jr. went Thursday to Des Moines to join her husband, who is employed as operator of the Star Theatre.

Kellerton - Mr. and Mrs. Richard HOLLAND are the proud parents of a little daughter, born to them on March 30.
