Velma Griffith has been elected to teach the third and fourth grades in the Redding school.
Mount Ayr carrier salesmen for the Des Moines Register and Tribune who have been invited to attend the third annual Carrier Salesmen's Convention and Frolic in Des Moines, are George Allyn, Billy Dowling, Gilbert Duffield, Billy Horne, J. Morris, John McNerney, Albert Stacy and Joseph Thompson.
BENTON - There are six seniors this year - Lorene Beal, Lola Toney, Dale Schlapia, Loren Fertig, Thomas Canny and Charles Fletchall.
DIAGONAL - O. R. Ives has been chosen to serve as janitor at the schoolhouse this coming year to succeed Johnny Overholtzer.
TINGLEY - Ralph Saltzman, who had been conducting a restaurant in Tingley, has moved his fixtures to Ellston.
SHANNON CITY - Margaret Nulph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Nulph, who has been employed in the local department of the North-western Mutual Life Insurance Company of Milwaukee, has been transferred from the Mason City office to their office in Sioux City.
The Mount Ayr High School baseball team won the 1932 Ringgold County tourney with victories over Benton, Maloy, and Diagonal.
BIRTHS:
Born, April 24, to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Weeda, of Des Moines, an eight and one-half pound daugther.
REDDING - Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Jackson are the proud parents of a son, born April 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Lynden Taylor are the happy parents of a daugther, Sue Ann, born April 10. Weight, seven and one-half pounds.
