Donna HEYER of Tingley attended the mid-year conference of the National Silver-haried Congress, held July 19-21 in Bismark, ND.

A total of 11 letter winners were named when the season came to a close recently for the Mount Ayr Community Raider baseball squad. The Raiders had a 17-12 record overall, one of the better records in Raider history, and went 9-7 in Pride of Iowa conference play.

When carcass results were reported for the pen of three beef carcass contest at the Ringgold County Fair, Sheldon TRIGGS had the winner.

Morgan RUMPLE of Mount Ayr attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicinein Bosto, MA, from June 20-29.

Two Mount Ayr basketball players attended the Central College boys' basketball camp July 11-15 at Pella. Jordan LARSEN and Cory ROBERTS, both of Mount Ayr, attended the camp. Central coaches and players and Jeff BOSCHEE, former Kansas University star, assisted the 38 campers.
