John S. Kater recently opened a new store at Ringgold and carries a complete line of drygood, groceries, flour, work clothing and notions.
Otis Wilkerson went Sunday via Benton to Des Moines, where he has accepted a position with an electrical company. His mother, Mrs. Ed Wilkerson, expects to move to the capital city soon.
DeLloyd Williams, president of the Charter Oak Aviation Company and a successful and well known aviator, will make two aeroplane flights at the Fourth of July celebration to be held Tuesday in Mount Ayr.
Mr. Williams uses a Taube style biplane with a 120-horse power motor. Also included on the day's program will be an address by the Hon. George A. Johnston, of Creston; ball games; band concerts;
and amusements - ladies' nail driving contest; baby show; bun eating contest; ladies' ball throwing contest; boys' foot race; girls' foot race' fat man's race; wheelbarrow race; bicycle race; buggy race and
relay race.

Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Willard Willey, an eight-pount baby girl, Sunday night.
HICKORY GROVE - Mr. and Mrs. Irving Trullinger are rejoicing over the arrival of a small plow boy at their home on June 21.
MALOY - Mr. and Mrs. John O'Connor, of near Blockton, are the proud parents of a fine boy, born June 31.
