RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, July 28 & July 31, 1914

Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

C.N. Farmer, of Garden Grove, has closed a contract with U.S.G. Lynch for his meat market equipment and building east of the Iowa State Bank and announces that he will open a meat market Saturday of this week.

F.L. Watson, who has been buying cream, poultry, butter and eggs at Kellerton, came to Mount Ayr yesterday and will have charge of the station which has been established by his brother W.B. Watson. He will be located at William Dowling's blacksmith shop temporarily. According to the present plan, the Star Theater will later be moved from its present location to the Timby Building on the southeast corner of the square, after which Mr. Watson will occupy the former theater building. L.P. Todd, proprietor of the theater, has leased from Mrs. Martha Timby the building which the theater will occupy and which will be remodeled. Thomas Campbell will have charge of the Kellerton station.

Wednesday evening a deal was made whereby Edward Willey and Raymond Teale purchased the Dulany & Son Cafe' on Depot Street. Clair Rhodes is employed by them to work in the restaurant and Harry Dulany will remain with them for a while.
