Football sharing between the Mount Ayr Community and Diagonal Community school districts will continue for two more
years. That was the decision for the Mount Ayr Community school board on a 3-2 vote Monday night after the board spent
a good deal of time discussing the matter at this and previous meetings.
Pam STRAIGHT, RN, patient care manager at the dialysis unit at Ringgold County Hospital was presented with the National
Kidney Foundation - Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative "Most Improved Outcomes for Anemia Management" award
at the hospital Friday. The award goes to the top five percent of dialysis units nationally.
A former Mount Ayr Community high school basketball player is helping lead the Graceland University Yellowjacket boys
basketball team this year. Senior Matt LYNCH scored 35 points to help lead the Yellowjackets to a 100-91 victory over the
Fransciscan University at the Pizza Ranch tournament at Northwestern College in Orange City recently.
