The marriage of Illah SPENCER to Mark ELLIOTT took place Sunday evening at 4 o'clock, in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A.
SPENCER. The ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Lloyd ELLIS, of Des Moines, pastor of the Christian Church at Delphos. The groom is the eldest
son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. ELLIOTT and has taken a commercial course at Highland Park College in Des Moines. They will make their home on the
ELLIOTT farm in Rice township.
Glen STEWART left yesterday owver the Great Western for Winterset, where he has employment.
SHANNON CITY - The City Restaurant, formerly owned by Reed CULBERTSON and Will MADISON, is now owned by Mr. CULBERTSON, he having purchased
Mr. MADISON'S share. An election was held here Wednesday for the consolidation of school districts and the vote carried in favor of consolidation
by a 43 majority vote.
Dr. C. C. LAWHEAD has recently remodeled his dental parlors and added new and up-to-date equipment so that he now has one of the finest and best
equipped offices in southern Iowa.
ELLSTON - Charley WILHELM will have charge of the mechanical department of the HOLLINGSWORTH ice cream factory.
KNOWLTON - At a recent meeting of the school board, the same teachers were elected for the coming year: L. E. M. McANINICH, principal; Blance MORELAND,
intermediat and Vera NORRIS, primary.
KELLERTON - Six pupils will graduate from the Kellerton school this year and this will be the first time in several years that the boys have outnumbered
the girls. They are Dora MATHIS, Clyde RICKLES, Lawrence HAMPTON, Jasper BARNER, Wayne EUIRTT and Cloyd SCOTT. B. B. ROBBINS is constructing an aeroplane and
has it almost completed. He thinks it is worth 25 cents of anyone's money to view the plane and to know that it was manufactured in Kellerton. Mr. ROBBINS
will soon try out the machine and if it proves all right, it will mean lots of advertising for "the biggest little town on the map."
HIGH SCHOOL NOTES - Duing a recent meeting of the athletic association, Superintendent FASOLD wsas elected president; Susie TIMBY, vice-president; and
X. T. PRENTIS, secretary. The high school association was organized four years ago by Mr. FASOLD and only two members of the first organization - Maurice
TENNANT and Charles SIMPSON - are yet members. At a meeting of those interested in baseball held last week, Ernest SAWYER was elected to the position of
captain.

KELLERTON - Mr. and Mrs. Tom LUTZ are the parents of a little son, born to them on April 24.
Born, Sunday, to Mr. and Mrs. Chas CULBERTSON, a ten-pound boy.
Born, April 21, to Emmet BAKER and wife, a son.
