Royce DAVIS, vice-president and cashier of the Security State Bank in Mount Ayr, was elected treasurer of the Bluegrass
Bankers' Association during a dinner meeting held Friday night at the Crestmoor Golf Club in Creston. Approximately
155 bankers, bank employees and directors of banks in Adams, Ringgold, Taylor and Union counties and their wives were
in attendance.
The Ringgold County Hospital Auxiliary held its regular meeting Monday. Mrs. Pauline MEADOWS of Kellerton, vice-president
of the auxiliary, was promoted to the office of the president to replace Mrs. Charles BUTRICK, who is employed in
the county extension office in Mount Ayr and who had resigned from the position of president. Mrs. BUTRICK will
serve as vice-president of the organization.
R. E. HAUPTMANN, vocational agriculture instructor in the Mount Ayr Community schools, was elected president of the
Iowa Vocational Association during the convention of the Iowa State Education Association in Des Moines. The term
is for one year and during the past year Mr. HAUPTMANN served as president-elect.
