the state meet in the past, but there had never been a state individual champion before, and the Raiderettes had never
seriously challenged for the state title. With a young team led by two key seniors, the Mount Ayr Community Raiderettes
went undefeated in track meets all season long, then pulled an upset by bringing home the state track title Saturday.
Going to the state were Jenny SHIELDS, coach Mark LARSEN, Jill TAYLOR, Jamie JONES, Jody SHIELDS, Traci LARSON, coach
Dave STILL, Nikky CROSS, Laurel MOE, Kim McGINNIS, Dawn HUFF and Ann FOLTZ.
