The W. A. REGER storeroom has been divided by a partion . Mr. REGER will still carry on his musical department in the
north half, while David LAMB and A. MORGAN will occupy the south half and put in a stock of dry goods, notions, etc.
On last Monday the School board met to finish selecting the teachers of the coming school year. J. E. SMITH of Carroll, was
elected principal. Miss Mary TEDFORD was elected teacher of the third grammar grade, Miss ____ TODD for the second grammar grade
and Miss Gertrude CAMPBELL for the first grammar.
Mr. HARRISON has sold his business in Kellerton and establishes (sic) himself in Redding. He is a most acceptable business man.
Rev. W. H. LARICK, who is to take charge of the Mount Ayr M. E. circuit, is now in the field.
Attorney Albert I. SMITH is in Shannon City today, delivering the memorial address for the old soldiers. He will give them a
scholarly and patriotic speech.
The eleventh annual commencement exercises of the Mount Ayr high school took place at the opera house Tuesday and
Wednesday nights of this week. This is the first time admission fee has been charged in Mount Ayr at commencement exercises, but a
crowded house demonstrated beyond a doubt that it was a decided success. Members of the class - eight young men and
