Some 59 percent of the patrons of the Grand Valley Community school district responding to a public survey said they favored whole grade sharing agreements for students in the district for the coming 1991-92 school year. These and other results of a survey returned by more than 80 families in the district are being shared with school district patrons in the school newsletter this week.

Zach Gunsolley of Diagonal won the Diagonal elementary school geography bee when it was recently held.

Trombonist Justin Akers and percussionist Ethan Sickels of Kellerton and clarinetist Stacey Foland of Grand River, will be performing with Iowa's Ambassadors of Music, a select group of high school and college student musicians from Iowa.

Hawkeye Bank & Trust in Mount Ayr has announced the retirement of Dean M. Jackson from the bank's board of directors.
