Three new faculty join the staff for the Mount Ayr Community Schools this year. New staff members include Josh VANDERFLUGHT, high school special education and coach; John THORPE, high school mathematics; and Carol CASON, junior high and high school vocal music.

Seven Mount Ayr Community Raierettes will be returning with letters or the 2004 Raiderette volleyball campaign. That's the word this week as the Raiderettes prepare for their season opener to be held Tuesday, August 31 here against Southeast Warren.

Change will be the theme as the Mount Ayr Community Raiders move into their 2004 football season Friday night. The Raiders will be back in Class 1A with a schedule that includes Pride of Iowa converence foes in all but two nights.
