Lisa Wilson, Mount Ayr

Ricky Lynn JOHNSON, three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill JOHNSON of Benton, was fatally injured yesterday afternoon about 1 p.m. when he fell from a car onto the highway, on-half mile east of the Benton corner. Ricky Lynn was en route to Mount Ayr from Benton in a car driven by his mother, when the accident happened. The boy was riding in the back seat of the car when the door came open and he fell and struck his head on the pavement. He was brought to the Ringgold County Hospital in the RHOADES ambulance, but was dead upon arrival.

For outstanding achievement of keeping 4-H record books during the 1960 club year, Lucille FARIS and Jerry BARKER of Mount Ayr have been named by the county 4-H committee as winners of trophies presented annually by the Mount Ayr Lions Club. Lucille, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur FARIS, is a member of the Gay Farmerettes 4-H Club. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall BARKER, Jerry is affiliated with the Benton Bearcats.

Neighbors and friends went Saturday to the Grover BEDIER farm in Union Township and picked corn for Mrs. BEDIER and family.
