W.O. HAVILAND, who for several months has been in the employ of the Standard Oil Company, recently resigned his position
and has purchased a barbershop at Albany, MO.
DIAGONAL -- Herbert WISE, our new jeweler is located in the Diagonal Drug and Jewelry Company's Store and is
ready to do all kinds of repair work.
The new branch of the Ayr Line between Mount Ayr and Kansas City is being marked this week and R.H. ASKREN is
painting the poles. he is being taken over the line by Elmer NICHOLAS in his Ford.
The McANINCH & COON Store and $4,000 stock in Lee was completely destroyed by fire Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs.
COON, who live upstairs in the store, were visiting that night at the Sherman McANINCH home, and no one being at the
store, everything was destroyed.
The Waubonsie Trail Association was recently reorganized at Shenandoah and vice-presidents have been appointed in
every county through which the trail is located. Highway Commissioner H.C. BEARD, of this city, was appointed vice-president
for Ringgold County.
