Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News
The south side of the Mount Ayr square will have a new look when visitors come for Autumn in the Ayr. The
Princess Theater building has signs about the effort to raise funds to restore it (a drawing at the event will
help) and the building next door is becoming at 50s diner, complete with car canopy.
A weekend of fun, competition and entertainment is planned -- Old Fashioned Fun -- when the Autumn in the Ayr
celebration will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The body of Donald Paul Lee PALMER of Mapleton was recovered by divers from Sun Valley Lake near Ellston about noon
on Thurday, September 16. PALMER, who would have been 24 on Saturday, had been missing for almost two
days at the lake, bringing a massive search for the body.
