The upstairs rooms of the Piper building on the north side of the square have been leased by the countysoil conservation committee, which will move its equipment and headquarters to the new location in two weeks. For the past three years the soil comservation office has been located in the American Legion Hall.

The selection of all-conference first and second football teams were made Tuesday night at a meeting of coaches of the Blue Grass Conference held in Leon. Two Mount Ayr boys, NEWMAN and ROBISON, were selected on the first team, and WOODS, GILBERT, STULL and CATTERSON were given berths on the second team.

Everett FERREE, who has been attending the American Institute of Business in Des Moines for the past several months, recently accepted a position in the offices of the National Biscuit Company in Des Moines. Mr. FERREE is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond FERREE of Mount Ayr.

Dr. Jesse JOHNSON, who has served as pastor of the local United Presbyterian Church for the past ten years, has announced his resignation from the ministry. Dr. and Mrs. JOHNSON and Ray plan to move soon to Reynoldsbur (sic, should be Reynoldsburg), OH, Dr. JOHNSON'S birthplace.

An interstate bus line, operating between Fort Madison, Keokuk and Clarinda in Iowa, will be inaugurated and become effective December 17. On November 27, daily except Sunday bus service will be established between Leon and Albany, MO, via Grant City, on which passenger, mail and express traffic will be handled.
