Named winner of the Drama Club Fine Arts Achievement Award was Stacey Jennings, daughter of William and Barb Jennings of Ellston.
Top senior vocalist in the Mount Ayr Community high school chorus was named Monday night at the Mount Ayr Community high school spring choir concert. This year's recipient is Amy Gregg.
Grand Valley high school students will join Diagonal high school students in spending three hours a school day at Mount Ayr Community high school next year.
T/Sgt. Brad Holden returned to the states last week after spending the past six months in Saudi Arabia on the Desert Storm project.
A new Mount Ayr high school relay record was set at the Crest Relays at Creston last week. The team of Jim Rotert, Rob Haley, Bill Welling and Aaron Goves broke the mark in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:29.11.
