RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, March 23, 1967

by Chanse Hall, Mount Ayr Record-News

Dianne Richards was one of 24 students named to the dean's list for scholastic achievement during the winter quarter in the American Institute of Business in Des Moines.

A 1962 Pontiac car, owned by Rodney Wilkens, 19, and driven by Charles Broten, 20, both of Minneapolis, MN, was totally wrecked Sunday morning when a tire blew out and caused it to roll over.

Three persons escaped serious injury in a two-car accident which happened Wednesday night of last week about 10 o'clock at the south edge of Kellerton.

An attempt to break into the Tingley State Savings bank in Tingley Friday about 3 a.m. was foiled as a result of the alertness of one of the town's residents.

Major Charles E. Cannon, USMC, received the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star.
