The P.M. Place Stores Co. is working to complete a transaction that will make the 80 year old retailer an employee-owned company, according to an article in the Bethany Republican.
Estimated Value of the trees along the streets in Mount Ayr is almost $2.7 million dollars, according to the report by the Forestry Services Breau of the Iowa DNR.
The Mount Ayr Raiderette basketball team reached the Class 1A state ratings for the first time this week. The Raiderettes moved into 20th place in the Class 1A to p20 ratings with a 10-1 record.
The Raider basketball team dipped to the 500 mark with a pair of losses last week and now sits at 6-6.
