It's time for a supertendent search in the Mount Ayr Community school district. After three years as superintendent, Bill Decker resigned effective at the end of the 2005-06 school year to take the job of superintendent in the Harlan Community school district.

Mount Ayr Community high school bowlers finished up their season in the high school sub-state meet held in Red Oak Saturday. In the boys competition, the team tied with Lenox for sixth, and in the girls competition, the team placed seventh out of the seven teams taking part in the meet.
