A $60,750 grant has been awarded to the city of Mount Ayr to help with the project to build a road and hook up sewer and water lines to the new
Woodlink Ltd. plant in the industrial park in Mount Ayr.
An explosion at the Mark and Sue LARSEN residence in north Mount Ayr was heard and felt in their Hayes Street neighborhood and very much in evident as
damage around the two-level structure. Sue LARSEN says she had "spot cleaned" with gasoline Jeremy's tar-covered jeans and when she interrupted a
normal wash cycle in her machine a ball of fire came out.
Paul GLENDENNING of Mount Ayr and Ron BINNING of Grand River placed in Late Model racing at the Adams County Speedway in Corning August 18.
