Otto Haley, who is a senior in the city high school, has recently accepted a position at Freeland's R. C. U. Store.
Elizabeth McMullen left Thursday for Elwood, IN. where she has accepted a position as a librarian.
HIGH SCHOOL NOTES - Those who appeared on the program given yesterday by the Orio Literature Society were Vesper Fierce, Susie Timby, Vane Roberts, Geraldine Laughlin, Lois Adams, Emlin Smith, Frank Keating and the glee club.
Humeston New Era: "The Rev. Frank T. Carter will preach his farewell sermon at the Church of Christ next Sunday evening. He goes to Mount Ayr November 26. Rev. Carter recently resigned as pastor to accept a call from the Mount Ayr Church of Christ, Mount Ayr. A native of Australia, he has been pastor of the Humeston church for two years."

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Palmer are the parents of a daughter, born November 16.
MALOY - Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Worthington are the proud parents of a baby girl born November 15.
