Loren L. Hickerson, a graduate of the State University of Iowa, has been re-elected editor-in-chief of the Daily Iowa, student newspaper of the university. He is the son of Mrs. Carl Jackson, of this city.
On May 1, O. O. Harold retired voluntarily from his place at the Mount Ayr Public Library, which included the care of the furnace and premises in general. Mr. Harold had served a good many years, but his
health made it necessary to give up the work.
James W. Carr, of Maloy, will represent Ringgold countyamong the 306 candidates for degrees in Creighton University's annual commenceent exercises on June 5. He is a candidate for the degree of
bachelor of science in pharmacy.
Monefay Hanson has signed a contract to teach the seventh and eighth grades at Ellston next year.
TINGLEY - The marriage of Clara Mae Giles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Giles, and John Bird, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bird, of Diagonal, occurred at the Methodist parsonage in Grant City, MO., on
May 10. They are at home on their farm northeast of Tingley.
