Among award winners at the annual FFA banquet Monday night were Robert SMITH and Mike WARIN, Star Greenhands; Gary WEEDA, Iowa Farmer and Star Chapter Farmer; and Dennis LINK, outstanding FFA chapter member of the year.

MACHS senior Shelly WILKINS received a division I rating on her humorous acting presentation, "Dinner's On The Table," at the state contest held Saturday. Her instructor is William HOHLFELD.

The helping hands thrift store will be opening for business at the Ringgold County Neighborhood Center April 2. It will replace the free clothing closet at the Center.

The largest attendance in several years of Scouts, their families and friends, gathered at Clover Leaf hall for awards. Scoutmaster Mark VERSCH and assistant Phil KINTON presented the awards. Receiving the Scout award were: Jim GRAHAM, Gary BAKER, Marty SCHNOOR, Bryan TAYLOR, Ben WALTER and Donnie BRYAN.

A former resident of the Caledonia vicinity in Ringgold county celebrated his 100th birthday anniversary Feb. 15. He is Will SMITH, who now lives with his daughter, Mrs. Marie MARTIN of Seattle, WA.
