Dr. Lance Barker has turned in his resignation because he accepted a position out in Colorado. The hospital has begun a search which is likely to take 90 to 120 days or more.
Sarah Geist of Mount Ayr has been named a winner of the 2006 Ann Griffel scholarship award from the Iowa Womans Golf Association
The Restored Depot Museum in Mount Ayr hosted the annual hobo supper Friday night. A large group gathered to listen to live music by the Midwesterners Band.
