The Mount Ayr Raiders did it! Their capture of the third straight Tall Corn Conference championship however didn't come easy Friday night at Villisca, as
the Raiders edged the charging Bluejays, 20 to 14 in a fan thrilling contest.
Ronald "Buck" OWENS of Blockton was awarded $18,000 last week by a Grant City jury in a civil suit before Judge J. Dorr Ewing in circuit court. OWENS was
suing the Iowa-Des Moines National Bank, trustees for the estate of Jessie P. SAVILLE.
