Commencement exercises will be held May 21, for eighth graders of the Mount Ayr school.
Those who have received awards for their school work are Patricia Wood and James Maharry, who had only two Bs during their four years of high school; Luella Wall, only one B in the four years; and Richard Lyddon, who lives in the country, for being neither absent nor tardy for six years.
STUDENT AYR - Ivan Dennis, a member of next year's senor class, has been chosed as editor of the Student Ayr for the ensuing school year. Selected as co-editors of the senior yearbook are Jerry Butler and Faye Dean Eager.
KELLERTON - Bert Ballou returned here last week from Des Moines and will agin get out the Kellerton Globe.
BIRTHS:
KELLERTON - Mr. and Mrs. Francis Virden are the parents of a baby girl, born May 11.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kneedler are the parents of a baby girl, born May 6.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Holmes are the parents of a baby girl, Kathryn Lavon, born May 9.
