A construction budget of $1,382,400 for new plant facilities in Iowa has been announced by W. R. Hambleton, state
manager of Iowa State Telephone Corporation of Centerville. The expenditure of these funds will provide for dial
conversions at Benton, Brandon, Kellerton and St. Lucas. In addition, a major portion of the construction necessary for the
dial conversions of the Munt Ayr local exchange and toll center will be completed and the dial conversion will take
place early in 1966.
A team composed of Raymond SAVILLE, captain; John COLE, Richard PALMER, Tom KELLY, Dan SHEIL and Dennis EPPS, was
champion in the volleyball tournament held January 11. The team defeated a group captained by Larry CRAWFORD, 15-11.
The freshman class recently purchased a two and one-half inch piranha, the only fish of its kind in Ringgold
county, for $9. The class hopes to acquire another one soon.
