Preliminary sales figures from the livestock auction at the Ringgold County Fair showed a total of $42,557.43 compared to the $41,835 raised in the sale in 2005.
Brenna Swanson of Mount Ayr was crowned queen at the 2006 Ringgold County Fair and Chania Vos of Ellston was crowned princess at the fair's evening of entertainment Thursday.
Two Ringgold county area students were among students graduated from Graceland University in Lamoni commencement ceremonies. Kimberly Brammer of Des Moines earned a bachelor of arts degree in the spring of 2006.
Matthew Lynch of Liberty earned a bachelor of arts degree in the winter of 2006.
