Diagonal will soon have a new business it was announced this week. Schlapia, Inc. has committed to construct a Texaco Food Mart in Diagonal.
A Mount Ayr student is one of 300 University of Kansas students nominated for membership in Phi Kappa Phil, an interdisciplinary academic organization and one of the most exclusive national honor
societies. Shelly Renae Taylor, a senior in the school of business and daughter of Steve and Cheryl Taylor of Mount Ayr, has been invited to join the society.
