The meal site was fortunate to receive a memorial monetary gift from Judy's family. We will some have new Bingo equipment due to the memorial. Judy loved playing and calling Bingo so it is only fitting that some of the memorial be used for it.

It was also the monthly birthday dinner to celebrate July birthdays. Judy loved the cakes for dinners so the special birthday cake was also dedicated to her. She is greatly missed at the meal site. She came early to volunteer, play cards and visit with others. She will be remembered whenever we play Bingo. Thanks to Brownie calling now so those who like to play Bingo can continue to enjoy it.

Those celebrating July birthdays were Pauline MURPHY (16), who also provided the ice cream and Faye SICKELS (17). Beulah WALTER is also celebrating her 90th birthday on the 16. She rarely misses coming to the meal site and we hope her health will permit her to come for a long time to come.

Sympathy is extended to Lorita LESAN whose sister died recently in Arizona. Lorita was able to spend some time with her prior to her death and was with her when she passed away.

Welcomed back to the [meal] site Tuesday was Gary and Dorothy BURGHER. News we were sorry to hear was the reason for their return. They're putting their home at Kellerton on the market and are going to make their home in Utha [Utah?] with their son, Donald. They will be closer to all their children then. We sure hate to have them move but understand their reason.

Our community was sorry to receive word that another one of our long-time Tingley residents, Georgia Etta KINNE, had passed away Friday at Health Care Center in Mount Ayr, where she currently resided. If any one individual is responsible for Tingley getting a mealsite, it would be this lady. She really went out on a limb to get it. This dear lady and friend is the one, who also talked me into applying for the manager's job years ago and here I am 40 plus years later.
