Jeanette WILLIAMS and her brother, Vernon HAYES, went to Omaha, NE on Saturday to visit with two of her sisters. Garland is in a home west of Omaha. Jeannette spent the night with Vernon in Pacific Junction and returned home Sunday.

Thursday, June 17, 2010:
Samuel BONTRAGERS had invited in several neighbors Friday evening for a social gathering which included Herman MASTS, Roy BONTRAGERS, Paul TROYERS, Alvin BONTRAGERS, Sam MILLERS and Robert DETWEILERS and the special guest, Miriam Ann DETWEILER, last year's teacher at Middle Fork school. Miriam Ann plans to move with her parents to Princeton, MO Wednesday.
Roy BONTRAGERS have another grandson born to Leroy and Mary DETWEILER of Princeton, Mo, named Lamar. He is greeted by one brother, Duane. Ruby BONTRAGER is helping her sister with household duties, laundry, etc. for several weeks.

Noah and Sadie YODER and baby of Newaygo, MI are spending the weekend with parents, Albert YODERS. Wanita YODER of Newaygo also came along and is spending some time with her cousin, Dena BONTRAGER, which is special for both.

Aden PLANKS have invited the community for an ice cream supper this evening as a farewell for the Junior DETWEILER family. Their plans are to load the truck Tuesday and leave Wendesday for their new home in Princeton, MO. We, as a community, don't like to see them move.

Thursday, July 01, 2010:
The Junior KAUFFMAN family spent the weekend in LaPlata, MO with paternal parents.

Eli MAST is limping around with a very sore foot, the results of a tooth of the hay tetter hitting his foot, jabbing through his shoe and foot as well. Knowing Eli, he kept going until the pain was too intense. Sunday he had a day of rest and kept his foot elevated, which gave him much relief. He is gaining with tender care from his faithful wife.

Thursday, August 12, 2010:
Last Wednesday the Jonas BONTRAGER family with eight children moved in on the John MAST place, coming from Fredericktown, OH.

Reuben and Ada TROYER, Samuel and Ada BONTRAGER, Viola and Emma BEECHY, Joanna TROYER, Ada YODER, Esther MAST and Mary BONTRAGER attended the teachers meeting in Seymour Friday.

Levi and Rosa MILLER returned home late Friday evening from their trip to La Jara, CO where they attended the wedding of a great-niece.
